A user asked how to create an alert based on CPU Temperature. It is not collected by default but can be put in a custom index for Macs by using the output from the ‘sudo powermetrics’ command.
Read the entire ‘Alert for CPU Temperature in ControlUp’ thread below:
How do i create an alert for CPU Temp ?
don’t think we collect this by default as far from all hw manufactures enable the wmi queries to get this info. If you have a proper option that works it’s a matter of building an alert based on the index that you use
ok i understand
for mac you can put parts of the output for
in a custom index for example
