A user is trying to export a list of installed apps on controlers using ControlUp. Other users suggest using the export button in the top left corner of the Software window. Another user mentions that they were able to export all VDIs and one app on the right side. The export may take some time depending on the number of VDIs. Another user suggests using the Invoke-CUQuery function. It is mentioned that the export button simply dumps the current view or tab. The console may struggle when pulling a large amount of data. The export was successful and the user is grateful for the help. The console may struggle when pulling a large amount of data. The export was successful and the user is grateful for the help.

smal question not sure if possible but think it is not, I have a customer looking to pull a list of installed apps on VDI’s from ControlUp, Is there away to export the data from controlers
Looks like there is a button in the top left for export.
Highlight all of the programs in the Software window and then export the instances table. Is this what they are asking about? File format appears to be xlsx
never noticed that i’m curious will look at it now
thanks
Me either, tbh. lol.
using CU near 10 years and still finding new stuff lol
Tell me about it ๐
looks like only export one app at a time
Select them all
you should be able to select them all, which should make them all appear on the right side.

i think i wil do all VDI and oe app on the right side

thats why i love this slack ๐
glad I could help some.
I recently did something similar for my own team and then realised that FSLogix AppMasking had hidden a pile of the apps from the Console, so had to re-do. Thankfully only a handful of machines
good point ๐ but in this case they just need an inventory of apps installed by users on there personal/Persistent VDI
I havent checked the docs but maybe Invoke-CUQuery can help you out?
haha planned to use that in the event this didn’t work
Long thread, skimming over it, but the export button is simply a dump of the current "view" or tab. Nothing more.
Ahh, yes. This is the controllers. Same functionality, just different section of the console…
worked but the poor console was crying when pulling the data
