ControlUp Logs and Syslog Functionality for Edge DX Users.
A user asked about Syslog functionality for ControlUp logs on their SIEM tool, as they are exclusive users of Edge DX. Another user suggested using API's to extract logs, and mentioned the use of a cloud-hosted Splunk. They also discussed Windows event logs on endpoints, with event IDs for remote control/shadow and shell sessions. Mac logs are kept separately, and can be accessed through a specific command. An event staffer confirmed the information.

Resolving Double Nesting in EUC Sync Script Folder Path
When using the EUC Sync script, a user found that the Folder Path was double nesting. It was suggested that they use Folder Mappings (https://support.controlup.com/docs/euc-synchronization-with-universal-sync-script#custom-folder-mapping) to map "EUC Environments" with "Horizon", so the Root-level can be pointed to. The user considered the suggestion and noted that the naming conventions were similar.

Collectively Improve Current ControlUp Functionalities with UserVoice Feature Request
A user sought the help of other ControlUp Citrix DaaS & ControlUp users in pushing for an improvement with regards to the current functionalities. A feature request was made on ControlUp UserVoice (https://controlup.uservoice.com/forums/953875-controlup-uservoice-prospect-request-form/[…]ns/47371013-rewrite-all-controlup-scripts-for-citrix-daas). The user needed to modify an existing script ("Enable CVAD machine maintenance mode") to suit their DaaS environment. Guy is currently scoping out this work with an initial script.

Can ControlUp Monitor Cloud and On-Prem Environments?
A user asked if it was possible to use ControlUp to monitor a cloud environment, especially VMware on GPC. It can be done by using GCVE and a workaround with a datacollector, or by using a dedicated jumpbox in Azure VMware Solution. Control Up SaaS can also be used to monitor both GCP environments and on-prem, with all configuration and historical data stored on ControlUp's backend.
