Users discuss the onboarding process for ControlUp, particularly creating app groups which may not have occurred automatically for some users. The onboarding wizard may need to be manually triggered and there is currently no easy restart option. An offer is made for assistance through a zoom call. The issue seems to be known and will be fixed in a future update. Note: previous instructions directed at by @member and @member.

Anyone deploy this yet? Maybe because its early on a Monday but I’m stuck at step 1. ;(
It says to create groups, but i see there the default ones:
I think I’ve seen this happen when User Activity Analytics isn’t enabled or configured. What do you see when you click on the Employees icon?
(we are aware of the incorrect message you screenshotted btw, but let’s see if your issue is the same)
Oh wait, I see it now
You need to create Application groups with SaaS apps in them. Did you not select any apps when using the onboarding wizard for the first time?
Currently there is no easy way to restart the onboarding wizard, which means you will need to add them manually
the wizard did not run. how do i kick that off?
How adventurous are you? There is currently no easy way
And could someone else maybe have run the wizard before you?
no, i’m the only one who knows we have this new feature.
If you want, I can jump on a quick zoom and get you started
I have 24 minutes until my next call
thx. i’ll have to circle back to this later.
Ok, let me or your CSM know
FYI @member @member
We’re fixing this as part of the onboarding, for now you’ll have to create an App group for a URL you want to monitor with ControlUp for Apps (need to check the box “use with cu4apps” on the app group)
