ControlUp RTC Login Changes and Configuration for Multiple Roles

Posted on August 16, 2024

The ControlUp team discussed changes to the RTC login in an upcoming version. Some users may need to manually set permissions for the new role, "Access Real-Time DX Console." The release date for the version is unknown, but users should ensure they are prepared for the changes. Support for multi-role configuration is available. The team also discussed a screenshot that may have caused confusion.

Read the entire ‘ControlUp RTC Login Changes and Configuration for Multiple Roles’ thread below:

Regarding the changes to the RTC login: https://support.controlup.com/docs/real-time-console-web-login

In our test Org, we are DEX admins but do not have this role selected as stated in the doc.

Will this get auto selected upon upgrade to the new version?

Also what is the release date for this version? We need to get 4+ orgs’ users ready for this change.

Hi @member

This permission will be automatically checked for the following two default roles only:

  1. Admin
  2. Access Real-Time DX Console

All other custom roles needs to be set manually

P.S. We support a multi-role configuration, where the most privileged combined permissions applies. You can add the ‘Access Real-Time DX Console’ role to any user, which will grant them this permission in addition to the permissions of any roles they already have."

thx. So it checks check after we upgrade to this new version?

It should be checked already

its not for my admin acct

Do you have time for a quick call?

sure

sending you a DM with a link

this is all set. For others who may see this. Default Roles are greyed out and we only use default roles. I’ll have to see where i grabbed that screenshot. Thanks Shay!
