It is not currently possible to prevent applications from launching in this way, however, scripts and alerts can be used to detect and remove forbidden applications. Missing the “Reconnect ” Option for RDP sessions in ControlUp RealTime DX
The discussion focused on the lack of a "reconnect" option in RealTime DX for managing Remote Desktop sessions when resolution changes occur. The team is currently exploring "Solve Actions" as an option, with additional Edge DX capability in the future. Customers are using Devolutions RDM and its "rdp file association" as a workaround for now. ControlUp RDX stands out as it allows for various credential sets and no additional tooling is needed. Reconnect option can be found when right-clicking on the machine instead of the tab. A tabbed RDP manager using the RealTime Console has many benefits, such as copy/paste of clipboard and files.

Getting Alerts for Low WiFi Signal with ControlUp
A user asked about getting an alert for low wifi signal exclusive to computers using wifi, and was suggested to use a parameter with a specific value. The user then asked if it's possible to get a toast notification for the end user showing a "low wifi signal" message - which can be done using a script from the ControlUp Script Library (https://www.controlup.com/script-library-posts/notify-user-when-poor-wi-fi-detection/), and a demo video can be found on Vimeo (https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/766155433). How to Setting Up an Alert in ControlUp Edge DX
The user was trying to set up an Alert, but could not get desired results. Following advice from others, it was suggested to use "like" instead of "=" for anything Event_, set the event source as "cu agent" and make sure to collect the event. Changing "=" to "contains" did the job. For future reference, it was asked why "contains" should be used for event logs.

Is the EdgeDX agent WPAD aware?

ControlUp Edge DX Data Storage Limits and Options Explained
The user noticed Edge only keeps data for 30 days and asked for an explanation, as they had options to view data from earlier in the year. @member clarified that Edge keeps data for up to 30 days, occasionally longer if storage is available, and suggested the user supply a screenshot so the issue can be replicated. @member investigated further and found session data from August, but the user still noticed other data going back to May. The user suggested the "This Year" option is unnecessary and unlikely to display data older than 30 days.

ControlUp Delegated Permission Configuration for Automation and Triggers
The user suggested delegation of permission for automation and triggering of ControlUp resources. This is a current feature request, but there is no ETA at the moment. Looking at the Security Policy in ControlUp 8.6.5, it's possible to create a new role with a selection of permissions and per script, define the folder role that can run different scripts. The user was also looking for a read-only option for incident triggers and hoped it would be available soon.
