A user asked if it was possible to hide/show the device locations map on the ‘overview’ page using RBAC role, with potential privacy concerns. Another user suggested opening a UserVoice to manage the view with RBAC access, and a PM confirmed that the company plans to enable this capability for all customers soon.

Is it possible to hide/show the device locations map thats is shown on the ‘overview’ page using rbac role?
I couldn’t find it in the roles section
I believe that is by default in place
I wish you could change the overview completely
Like put a dashboard view in its place or something wink wink 😉 @member that’s a nice idea
@member isn’t it also a privacy concern? We don’t want the servicedesk to see this view ideally
Sometimes the location is very accurate. If I look at my own machine in controlup its meters away from my real location

I would recommend that you open a UserVoice and ask that the view must be managed by RBAC access and then share the link here that more people can upvote it

Hey all, we had to temporarily halt the roll out of this capability but hope to be able to enable this for all customers soon
