Running User Interactive Scripts with ControlUp for Outlook Teams Add-In Solution

A team member asked if ControlUp can run user interactive scripts, specifically prompting a user to restart Outlook. Another member suggested using a user script through Actions, unless doing it via an Alert. The reason for the restart was to implement an Outlook Teams Add-in disable and re-enable solution through a silent script. This was for the New Teams, not removing the Classic Teams.

could you please confirm if we can run User Interactive scripts using ControlUp.

planning to run a script that will prompt user to restart outlook.


You can but that needs to be a user script


Okay user script through Actions, right?


Correct , unless you are doing it via an Alert ?

Why is outlook needing a restart ?


Outlook Teams Add-in disable and re-enable solution needs to be implemented for that outlook restart is necessary so we have created a script that will silently push add-in solution and for restart outlook, it will prompt user for restarting


is this for the New Teams

are you removing the Classic Teams ?
