A user asked if there’s a script to list installed versions of the VDA as well as the functional level of the Master Catalog and Desktop Group. Suggestions were provided along with a script for functional level. It was recommended to put the functional level requirement as a roadmap item for the product.
Read the entire ‘Script to List Installed Versions of the VDA and Functional Level of MC & DG?’ thread below:
Is there a script that will list installed versions of the VDA as well as the functional level of the MC and DG?
$VDAPath = “HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Citrix\Virtual Desktop Agent”
$InstalledVersion = Get-ItemProperty -Path $VDAPath -Name ProductVersion
Write-Host “The installed version of the VDA is” $InstalledVersion.ProductVersion
taht would give u the first part
just need to be modifiied to remote machines slightly
found this script for the functional level
might do the trick for u
Run these on a Delivery Controller or where the CVAD PowerShell cmdlets are installed, eg a machine with Studio installed:
Get-BrokerCatalog |select name,MinimumFunctionalLevel
Get-BrokerDesktopGroup -MaxRecordCount 4000|select Name,MinimumFunctionalLevel
Easy enough to put into a script and implement filters
Awesome. thanks guys. Trying to get everything on 2203 but it’s a mess. It’s a lot easier to plan when looking at it as a whole outside of studio. thanks again 🙂
I will also put the requirement for Functional Level as a roadmap item for the product as well so it can be used as a trigger, clear use case.
I needed something like this also, thanks! Now I just need to get the actual versions of Citrix installed inventoried as well for life cycle management.
