A user asked about experience with EdgeDX and XenApp provisioned TS/VDI and was recommended to deploy RealTimeDX instead due to its stateless nature and the fact that it will need rebooting to change the device ID and lose historical reports. To overcome this for Teams Monitoring, the user could install the EdgeDX Agent with a known switch, make a hardcoded link from the C and D drives, and set the custom RegisterWithDeviceName setting to be true. The user then asked if this was officially supported and if it would be coming to EdgeDX or Realtime/Solve, and was told that it is very interesting.

Script for Monitoring Published App and Desktop Session Statistics with ControlUp

The script must be run on the ControlUp Monitor version 8.6.5 or newer and it was modified to allow for large amounts of sessions. The results use Export-CUQuery instead of Invoke-CUQuery. The discussion also included tips regarding color scheme and location.

Historical Reports can be found in Session Details of a specific session under the "right click" action menu. Following this conversation, a feature request was made with the Customer Success Manager for a historical reports drilldown from a drilled down machine, and a bug was identified in Solve.

Troubleshooting General VDI Slowness with Multiple Screens
A user asked for help in finding the source of general slowness in a VMware environment with 4-6 screens, no GPUs, and W10 Kiosks. ControlUp is being used to identify the bottleneck but CPU and RAM are not the source. GPU memory was discussed as a possible bottleneck, and it was suggested to check settings like Display memory limit, CPU metrics, network connectivity and RTT times, plus the fact that the EDT protocol can help. The user later reported that their lobbying for GPUs paid off, and they are getting 12 servers with 2xAmpere A16 GPUs.
