depends on how the location is determined, if it’s based on ISP address geolocation databases are used and those can be wrong
It’s coming from a central ip that hundreds are using. Only his device is showing there
When you hover over the red icon, does it show location obtained by device?
In which case the location is provided by the operating systems location services, not the IP address
