In the discussion, there was a question about the Secure DX agent not automatically updating in CU4D. It was suggested that the agent may not be updating due to it being manually deployed. The solution was also given to update manually or make changes to the script to run more frequently. There are planned changes in the works to give users more control over the versions and updates, similar to what is available in CU4D. It was also mentioned that if the script is not running once a day, support can be contacted to help troubleshoot the issue. The Devices tab can show which devices have upgraded to the latest version, with the install date of 8/19 being mentioned. The script will only run if devices are on at specific times.

In CU4D, I have a script to auto update Secure DX agent. When I look in Control Panel it shows I’m still running version 1.2.2502.12 from last February. When I manually download the agent I get version 1.3.2507.15. Where can I look to see why the agent is not updating automatically?
hi Chris how do you initially deploy the Compliance agent to your desktops if it is deployed manually (not via the Compliance console or our install script) the auto update script will not work.

I would suggest updating as along with a few bug fixes you will not be able to use the new Restart Behaviour
CU4D has built in scriptsthat run onece a day C:\ProgramData\Avacee\sip_agent\cachefiles
scriptinfocache.txt
this file will show a audit of if and when those scripts have been running
Fwiw, changes are coming that will give you greater control over versions and updates, similar to what you have in CU4D. Might not be this quarter but its something that’s being worked on
Hi Luke, we deployed through the Secure DX console. I looked at the scriptinfocache.txt file, but I didn’t find a date when the script was being run. Is there a place in the Secure DX console that shows what version each PC has installed? All I could find show just that it’s installed.
also if you copy the script and change from once per day – action system
you can get it to be visible here and run it manually for all online devices
but if it is not running once per day log a support calland we can figure out why
When I look at the Devices tab, I see quite a few devices have upgraded to the latest 1.3 version. I looked at the install date for a few machines and it showed it installed on 8/19. I’m not sure if something I did caused it to start upgrading yesterday??
Script will only run if devices are on at specific times. I would have to ask on the times can’t remember
