A discussion about configuring triggers in ControlUp. A user asks about the interval of a low disk space trigger, and it is clarified that the trigger will only fire again when the threshold is breached again. It is confirmed that if space is cleared and then falls below the threshold again, it will trigger a new alert. It is suggested to duplicate the trigger and adjust the value, or use a scheduled trigger for more customized functionality.

Hi all, I’m learning more about Triggers and create a low disk space trigger (threshold
that last is the repeat interval but it will only fire again when the threshold is breached again
Regarding the low disk space alert: if the free space remains below the threshold and no one clears any space, I assume the alert will not re-trigger on its own. However, if space is cleared and then falls below the threshold again, will that trigger a new alert?
yes
With that said, I assume the trigger itself cannot be configured to fire every X hours if a customer wants that specific functionality.
No. But you could duplicate the trigger and increase the value on the same screen where you configure the "from this state" and "to this state" filters
IE a trigger for in this state for 1 hour, another for 2, etc. Not the cleanest solution but it’ll do the trick
Another option is a scheduled trigger
