Copying Custom Roles Between ControlUp Tenants Using REST API

Im trying to copy custom roles from one tenant to another based on the rest api. I have tried creating a script with the assistent of the built in AI in the tenant, but I keep running in to errors. Does someone have this script already developed?

I’ve done this before for customers. Copy demo environment (ACMEorg) roles so that customers have some roles to start with.

There were some gotchas in the structure.

Maybe you and I can get on a call to walk through this Arjan? Small caveat, I am located on the US East cost. So timing might be a small hurdle

Wow awesome, thanks for the input! We are actually a MSP customer. I was in the understanding that the copy edge tenant data was only for tenant configuration and scripts and not roles. But if this includes roles aswell I will try this from my template tenant!

For now I worked around it by creating the entire string for the roll from the rest api menu. But for new tenants I will try the copy data function.
