How to Change the ‘From’ Email Address in ControlUp Web Console

A user asked if it’s possible to change the ‘from’ email address in the ControlUp web console. Another user suggested using workflows to listen for the alert and retrieve information from {{start.event}} variables to modify the email. No direct way to change the email was mentioned.

In the web console is it possible to change the from email from sip_alerts@controlup?

There is not. You could go the workflows route though.

Basic idea:

• Workflow – start type listener

• Listen for: ControlUp one > desktops > your alert

• Take the title, description, etc from the alert when it fires. Using the {{start.event}} variables
