A discussion was had around the use of Provisioning Services (PVS) and how it deals with user profiles. If profiles exceed 30GB, then it should be configured to overflow on disk, but FSLogix Containers are simply mounted and the writes directly into the VHDX file, not into RAM. Investigating Unusual Behavior on ControlUp VDI’s
ControlUp experienced weird issues in their environment, where VDI's were ignoring all policies and scanning their drive. Microsoft Defender Engine 4.8.2210.6 was identified as the cause and a rebuild was done using the latest 4.8.2211.5 engine to fix it. Other users were asked if they have experienced a similar issue. It was further clarified that the engine was not supposed to be scanning the drives but the process itself was pulling data from the PVS server. Investigations found that most systems couldn't give the version of the process and the instances that did didn't show any spike in I/O.

Creating ControlUp Triggers and Scheduled Reboots in ControlUp
The user asked for best practices when creating triggers in ControlUp and shared their own "findme" trigger for testing automated actions. This trigger is based on an active application title and can be used to fire the trigger when needed. They then covered the use of scheduled triggers for reboot schedules, with examples and providing a filter example with regex. Finally, a trigger for Wi-Fi signal strength, with an example of a created toast notification, was mentioned. Trigger Packs from ControlUp were also included in the post. The Trigger Packs link can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/trigger-packs.

How to Track Disk Space Trend Analysis in ControlUp Real-Time DX?
A user asked if there was a way to track disk space trend analysis. The feature was well-received and the team suggested adding a “free disk space” chart to their Machine Trends report. They also discussed adding it to the Sizing Recommendations report, since the Streaming Project will impact the current metrics they were planning to include. The Streaming Demo was held recently and it was decided that the project would fit well with existing historical PVS & GPU metrics.
