A user was having trouble with User login and logoff triggers. Another user suggest checking the incidents pane in the config console to see if any trigger events were recorded. The first user was able to see User Logged On events but not User Logged Off events. Others chimed in to say that all triggers, regardless of action, should record an incident. Further troubleshooting was needed to understand why the trigger was not working.

I must be a little slow today…
I have User login and User logoff triggers configured for the same set of users. I am hearing that the logoff trigger doesn’t seem to be working. Is there a way to tell if a trigger fired for user logged of historically if there is only an SMTP action configured?
Have you looked at the incidents pane in the config console?
I had not. I see what you are talking about there. Thanks.
I am seeing the User Logged On events, but no events for User Logged off.
All triggers that fire should record an incident regardless of the followup action.
Triggers are configured exactly the same as near as I can tell, except one is logon and the other is logoff…Hmmm…
Thanks. Much appreciated there. Now to figure out why the trigger isn’t working.
