A user asked about the possibility of an API for CU4C that could trigger workflows in CU4W when a patch is detected. Another user asked for clarification on the use case for this feature, to which the first user explained that it would help automate ticket creation for new application vulnerabilities. The CU4C PM, @member, would have more details on the API release and it was mentioned that it should be ready by the end of the month, with potential for more endpoints to be added in the future.

I’m looking into solving the best way to handle the notification of patching being required for our endpoints and I wanted to find out if there are any plans for CU4C to have an API that can be utilised so that when a patch is discovered it could trigger a workflow in CU4W
@member when u say notification of patching being required. Can you explain this one more. What’s the use case? API’s are coming for CU4C but have not seen the details on initially what you will be able to do. @member the CU4C PM might be able to shed some more details
So the use case is so that the Team can get a Jira helpdesk ticket when a new application vulnerability is discovered. So instead of finding out by going into CU4C, we would be looking for our helpdesk to notify them of this. So my thought was if there is an API or webhook we could use that would help facilitate that then we could automate a ticket creation based on the new application vulnerability being discovered
@member would be the person to answer this. I will also post in our internal slack as well. Thanks for clarification
@member do you know when API for CU4C will be released?
LA should be ready by EoM. Will include devices data and related issues (in a device context). I believe we will be able to move faster for additional endpoints once infrastructure is done.
Thank you, I look forward to seeing these
