The customer is looking for a training or documentation on creating custom dashboards for VDI. @member suggests a community session on the topic was conducted but the customer’s requirement is slightly different. @member offers to help and mentions the upcoming release of VDI dashboard in the gallery. Unique count and time series for VDI support are expected to be released next week and early next month respectively.

Hello, is there a training or any documentation available for Custom dashboard for VDI, customer is requesting similar dashboards which they can share with management instead of manually exporting Reports.
Requirement:
- Graphical representation of users logged in based on daily, weekly, monthly.
- Idle time plotted on the graph. Login Time and Disconnected Time.
There are multiple reports which gives all these information, but they want to see this on the console directly under one page.
Hi @member
There was a community session – Building Dashboards with VDI Data done on the 8th of April you could review that and see if it helps

@member Thanks for the information. I’ve gone through the video but the requirement what customer has is bit different.
If u share what is need in detail will see if i can help and I’m sure @member and @member might chime in as well they are the two dashboard GODS!!!
@member – Customer wants to see the data in graphical representation where they could identify the VDI usage on a single page and can be shared with management as well. I know there are Reports which captures all this information but they don’t want to manually perform any operation to visualize the data. Basically, they have another tool called OpenIT which gives them graphs on how many users are using an application and the licenses being used and they can check whether user is actually using the resource or not. They are looking for something similar.
- How many users connected to VDI in a day, weekly, monthly basis.
- Users who connected are actually working on it or just consumed the machine.
- Based on the desktop pools how many users are connected.
- Resource Utilization by those VDIs etc
Hi @member to answer your original question, the documentation will be updated next week and we are hard at work on create training. To your second question some of what you’re saying can be created now. And on Sunday we will have our very first VDI dashboard in the gallery that will cover some of this. But currently VDI doesn’t support time series or unique count yet BUT it is coming ASAP it’s too prio for the VDI team. That would allow all the widgets you’re describing here. At @member do you have the exact time frame ?
@member Thanks for the update 🙂
I expect unique count (plus a set of additional data from vdi) to hit production somewhere next week. Time series is a bit further out. I’ve got development working on that as we speak. It’s still in earlier phases so its a bit harder to set a release date but I estimate early next month.
Thanks
