Accessing Historical Reports for Specific VDIs in DEX

Posted on March 19, 2024

A user expressed frustration with the inability to view historical reports for a specific VDI within DEX. Other users suggested that this issue is being addressed in future versions, and in the meantime, they can access the reports by selecting the machine and downloading the report through a small icon above the table.

Read the entire ‘Accessing Historical Reports for Specific VDIs in DEX’ thread below:

ok, this is probably my biggest complaint about DEX and I’m hoping its either in-process to be fixed/looked at, or there is a better way to do what I would like to do:

if I search for the user in the main VDI page, I can right click and go to Historical Report

great…looks good

but what if its a vdi and I dont know what machine the user is logged into…

let me click on the name to find out…

I see its VDI-15

I want to see historical report of that machine now

so I click on the button above to see the machine specs

but if I right-click, I get no historical report

so I then have to esc out of this view, go to search again on the machine level and find this machine

am I missing something or is this just a limitation of how the contextual menus are displayed?

Cc @member @member can you pls share your feedback here?

Hi @member, It is in progress to be fixed in future version.

In the meantime you can view the historical reports by selecting a specific machine (by right click or marking the check box) a small icon appears above the table, allowing you to download the historical reports.

This way you can select multiple machines for which you would like to view historical reports

ok awesome. thanks for this!
