A user asked about setting values for devices other than Groups and Tags. Another user suggested adding a Note to the device and using the Notes column to filter. A third user mentioned using Tags and Groups to manage devices and mentioned creating a new Role for a specific team and using RBAC settings to limit their access.

Other than Groups and Tags, are there any other values that can be set on a Device? For example, if I wanted to designate a technician for a device or an employee or department, can I do this?
Hi Paul,
in my case i did that by adding a "Note" to the Device. After that you can show the column "Notes" and filter after your Notes.
Hey
Sorry im going to mention Tags and Groups
but what i have done in my fleet
We have one /a team that only supports small amount of devices , so i tagged those devices with "small" and then created a new Role
add the engineers (technician /s) to that role and then in the RBAC settings i selected the tag
Thus if they log in , they can only see those devices and not any other.
Hope it helps.
