A user asked about discrepancies between two ControlUp consoles, with some machines showing ‘Install Agent’ in the host column of the machine details. The user was advised to set up the Universal Sync Script (https://support.controlup.com/docs/euc-synchronization-with-universal-sync-script) from GitHub, and asked about their CSM – their account manager who can assist with setup – if needed. The user also asked if all machines were on the same hypervisor.

we have a large number of desktops that show ready w/ the agent connected in the console but if we go into the host view (or check the host column in the machine details it shows blank or "install agent". some machines show fine in the console now and connected to a specific host so not sure what to do for it
Two different consoles with two different results.
Anything listed with "Install Agent" means the machine has not been added to the tree in the RTC. I would strongly suggest setting up the sync script.
true…..but the realtime console shows most w/ no data in the host column but some do so trying to narrow down why
Host column comes from the hypervisor. Connect htat up.
thank you by the way! do you mind pointing me in the direction of the script you’re talking about? sure sounds familiar
The latest and greatest is here. https://github.com/controlup/environment-scripts/tree/main/Environment_Synchronization_Scripts/UESS/EUCSync
If you need help with it, reach out to your CSM and ask for a call. We’d be happy to help you out getting it up and running.
weird thing is i DO see all the hosts in the realtime console w/ data…..just has some vm’s on the host show info and some dont
thanks Landon! been so long since we’ve had to do that, how would we find out who our current CSM is?
Area all the machines on the same hypervisor?
