How to Share Custom Dashboards Grid Views in ControlUp Solve

Posted on November 4, 2022

Custom dashboards and grid views can be created in ControlUp, but currently cannot be shared. @member proposed an additional way of seeing all logical disks in one view to simplify operations and support. This had been requested previously and will be added to the roadmap for next year. For a quicker solution, export-cuquery for the LogicalDisks table can be exported to a chart in excel or an HTML file with pswritehtml.

We really like the way of creating custom dashboards and share them for our support engineers. What I also like a lot is making custom grid views ( to simplify stuff). however so far I did not find a way to share these grid views.

so a sharing option here maybe

fe. now we can only see the free disk space on the system disk, but most of the servers have more disks. You can only see this when clickin on the server and select disks, Would be nice to have an overview of all disk. So support or operations can quickly respond.

so more or less the logical disks view from the console to be visible in Solve @member

Yes, but without specifically go to the machine… so in one overview, extra columns… and able to sort

@member I believe this was requested before to see all logical disks in one view in solve like we can do with the RT console

like, with extra columns

yup

Yes, definitely a required functionality.

I will work to add this to next year roadmap.

If anyone wants to have something like this now you could use a script that runs export-cuquery for the LogicalDisks table and export that to a chart in excel or an html file using something like pswritehtml
