Monitoring Other Appliances with ControlUp

A user asked about monitoring other appliances via API like routes. It was suggested that Scoutbees HTTP/S tests may be suitable, while VMware UAG and F5 were noted to be on the roadmap at some point, although there is nothing near-term available. The user was asked to identify the particular vendor appliance they are looking for monitoring.

Not sure the right channel for this and its kind of a road map question. Another solution we us that i am hoping and working on replacing with controlup. But ne thing that it dose is monitor other appliance via API like routes for exapmle. Is there plans for introducing other appliances that e can monitor?


Little bit hard to fully answer based on limited information, but maybe the Scoutbees HTTP/S test would work for this? It supports GET and POST (with body) and will allow for network path performance reporting


looking at sometime similar to what is done for Citrix Netscaler for other appliances. if something like that is on the map


Ah ok. I think VMware UAG and F5 were on the roadmap at some point, but not entirely sure where we stand on those. Nothing near term afaik @member @member might know. Is there any particular vendor appliance you’re thinking of Luke?
