A user was experiencing discrepancies in the data displayed by the ControlUp RealTime console. It wasn’t showing all user sessions and metrics on the top nav bar were not reflecting changes made to filtered views. The discussion resulted in the user being advised that the numbers in the top navigation bar and grid below are refreshed at different intervals and it may be causing discrepancies. Solving the issue should be simple, but the discrepancies make it difficult to identify anything accurately.

can someone help a brother out? I mean, I’m not great at math, but when I see User Sessions (Citrix)4, and I click on it and only get 3 results…..
or here where it says 0 sessions, but clearly it displays 3. even though it says there are 4 at the top. this is madness
but wait, there’s more. this says there is 1 “total VDAs in DG” in the fancy pie chart graph thing, but it also says i have 10 at the top. I dont know who to believe?
good Ole RealTime console doesn’t fail me.
Hey Chris, we’ve been trying to get a call setup with you and some of our product team leads but I don’t think we’ve been able to plan anything. Is this something you’d be willing to participate in? If so, happy to take it to DM to talk availability And timing
I will look into this particular issue in a little bit. I have seen this before and I think I got a clarification on this
Btw, the numbers in the top nav bar and the grid below are refreshed at different intervals, which sometimes mean they are different for a few seconds. Not saying that that’s what’s happening in your case, but just to make sure, you see this difference permanently?
Or at least for an extended period?
lemme verify
seems to not want to show idle sessions
sessions:
also, if i filter a view by, let’s say IP address, the top metrics do not reflect the change. as an example, filter by IP address results in 12 records, yet the top portion still shows 218 sessions Why doesn’t this change to reflect the data I am viewing?
Solve should be simple but in my experience the inconsistencies and the number of views makes it confusing to try and identify anything accurately.
