A user asked about retrieving historical incident data from ControlUp using PowerShell cmdlets and the community offered insights. The user found that the incidents pane data is not available through an API but will be replaced by the events pane in dex. An API for the events data may be available in the future.

Hi,
I’m trying to retrieve historical incident data (last 14 days) from ControlUp using PowerShell cmdlets—similar to what’s displayed in the Incidents pane of the Real-Time Console (RTC).
Specifically, I’m looking to extract: Trigger Name, Trigger condition/value that matched, Timestamp of the incident
However, I haven’t found a ControlUp cmdlet that provides historical incident data in the same format or detail as the RTC Incidents pane. Most available cmdlets seem to focus on real-time or runtime data.
Any insights from the community? Thanks in advance.
The incidents pane data is not available using an api nor will it be due how it was built. It is being replaced by the events pane in dex.
not sure if there’s an api available yet for the events data in dex but if not I am pretty sure that it will be coming (feel free to open a feature request for it though)
