A user asked whether it was possible to automate the process of disabling maintenance mode on virtual desktops. Suggestions include marking the systems by using the eventlog, using registry keys for non-persistent systems, and using a local database. Citrix's Load Index was mentioned as a simpler solution, and it was clarified that it uses CPU, RAM, and maximum user numbers to calculate the effective load. ControlUp Automation and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Policy Settings were both suggested as useful solutions.

Using Automation to Assign Dynamic Groups in ControlUp
It is currently only possible to automatically assign Dynamic Groups during installation of the Windows Agent, but there may be a similar possibility for Linux using the upcoming IGEL OS12 agent. Alternatively, API calls and scripts can be used to assign dynamic groups. UserVoice item https://controlup.uservoice.com/redirect/suggestions/46944511 has been created for this.

Alternative Way to Check User Processes with ControlUp Triggers
A user suggested having a floating window with the processes of a user when the "Navigation to sessions/overview" is clicked, as a way to check for CPU, RAM, disk or network spikes when their "User Input Delay" exceeds a certain threshold. Another user suggested using the „dump views to disk” follow-up action in triggers as an alternative. This follow-up action can be used to select the views needed and create CSVs or XLS files for further investigation. Information about this can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/setting-up-triggers.

How to View Citrix RTT in ControlUp Solve and Edge?
A user asked if Citrix RTT can be seen in ControlUp Solve / Edge. The RTT column is for Blast/RDP, while ICA users should use the "Latency Last" metric. User Input Delay may be the equivalent metric for Citrix RTT, as detailed in ControlUp's blog: https://www.controlup.com/resources/blog/entry/controlup-automation-user-input-delay-vs-citrix-ica-round-trip-time-rtt/.

How does ControlUp Agent Certificate Communication Work?
It was asked if a single certificate needs to be used across Real-Time Consoles, Monitors, and ControlUp Agents, with the Consoles and Monitors holding the private key while the public key is deployed to the Agents. Remediation can be automated for the agents with a GPO, and for the Console/Monitors with a supported PowerShell scripted provided by ControlUp. More information on agent certificate communication can be found at https://support.controlup.com/v1/docs/certificate-based-agent-authentication.

Ideas for Reports Showing ControlUp Success in the Environment
The user was looking for a report which would show what ControlUp had been doing in their environment and to spot trends week-over-week. It was suggested that the Incidents Pane in the Realtime Console and the Environment Assessment report in Insights be used to look at performance-related data. Reports in Solve, documenting and highlighting successes for ControlUp, and automations enabled in the Automation Module were all suggested as well. Additionally, there is a new in-product report which will present data out of the box.

Triggering ControlUp Automation with Scoutbees Alerts
A user asked if an alert from Scoutbees can trigger a ControlUp automated action. It was suggested to run scripts using ControlUp Automation to interact with Scoutbees. An idea was proposed to create an error log in the events, and for ControlUp RealTime to trigger an automation from that event. Additionally, writing a script to either put the server into maintenance mode or reboot was considered. ControlUp RealTime currently only has the ability to execute native actions through PowerShell commandlets and the follow up actions can call web hooks.
