Creating a Citrix Workspace App Versions Report in ControlUp

A user asked how to create a dashboard or report showing Citrix Workspace App versions for end users and possibly trigger notifications for upgrades. @member suggested using the Session Activity report and adding the "Initial Citrix Receiver Version" column to see the client versions used in historical sessions. Other columns can help identify the endpoints with the app installed. A trigger can be used to detect versions and send notifications, and @member or a team member may have more instructions.

Finding App Launch Instances on Endpoints with ControlUp API

A user asked how to find the number of instances of an app launched on endpoints over a specific period of time. Another user provided a Powershell script that can be used to retrieve this information from the ControlUp API. The script can be modified to change the start and end date-times. Troubleshooting Citrix EUC Scout and Custom Hive Errors

Missing “Client Device Score” icon in ControlUp Solve?

Members discussed the issue of not seeing Client Device Score in ControlUp Solve, and why metrics like Client Wi-Fi Signal, Lan Latency, Total Session Latency, and Internet Latency indicate the score. They concluded that Remote DX must be installed on the endpoints and the registry values need to be deployed. Members also noted that 3rd party software can be tricky with virtual channels, and that the default MSTSC rdp client should be used. Support ticket can be created at support@controlup.com.

Clarifying ControlUp Edge DX and Remote DX Use Cases

Paul asked for clarification between ControlUp Edge DX and Remote DX and their use cases. EdgeDX is a standalone agent and RemoteDX is a plugin to Citrix Workspace/Horizon Client. Paul wants to get data from sessions, and tested with Mac, where EdgeDX data was visible but not data was visible in session views. RemoteDX was installed but did not show data in the session view.
