It is possible to write data into Device Events from scripts that are not running from ControlUp Edge DX. The ControlUp Knowledge Base provides examples on how to do this, for both events and data. Patch Detection with ControlUp EdgeDX Explained
EdgeDX patches are determined by querying the Windows update. It is possible to manually run the script to check for missing patches. The script uses the Microsoft COM object for Windows updates and may not work with other tools such as Big Fix or Intune.

Restricting Access to Organization Creation in ControlUp DEX Instance
A user asked about preventing unauthorized creation of organizations in their DEX instance. They suggested a configuration option to only let full admins create new orgs. It was noted that creating a new organization requires a license and currently there is no way to block it. The user's request was added to the backlog to block organization creation to admins only.

Performance Monitor Counters – An Overview

These metrics measure capacity, thread waiting to be executed, open file handles, rate of context switches, and maximum delay experienced by user input, respectively. IGEL Partition Persistence and Auto Updates Confirmed

They receive an error message when trying to send a message or use remote control. Using ControlUp to Monitor RDSH Sessions and Reboot Devices on IGEL OS
A user asked if they can use ControlUp to monitor RDSH sessions and reboot sessions or Thin Client devices if necessary. Kursten suggested to add the RDSH hosts to the console and set up a trigger with a filter for the logoff script action, and said Thin Client devices could be done via Edge DX. They pointed to the ControlUp Academy for recommended training and to a Use Case for instructions on creating a trigger.
