With that in mind, I recommend adding the ControlUp Blog to your reading list.…

Help: uptime of a ControlUp Scout could be 0% and Successful Runs :0/0 but when I do a test it works?
A user asked why a PING scout was running but a HTTP/S scout was not, despite the scout being enabled. They were advised to run "sb-hive.exe debug" from the command prompt in the VDI from the ControlUp management console. Previous discussion can be found at https://controlupcommunity.slack.com/archives/C046DUGB6M9/p1686066701593019. The user was then asked which custom hive version they used.

Inviting Users to Scoutbees with Limited Permission
A user asked why they can't invite a user in Scoutbees and give them only access to Scoutbees. Though integrated with Solve, Scoutbees can't directly invite users, but when the user migrates to DEX, they will be able to separate the different platforms/products. The user has asked Support to create another viewer user with only Scoutbees access.

How can I create a group-specific offline device alert in ControlUp Edge DX without using static IPs?
A user asked for help creating an alert in ControlUp Edge DX to detect when a device from a particular group goes offline. It was suggested that the Last Communication property is used to calculate "offline", and a static value could be used in the current alert system. The REST API can be used to get machines that have been offline for a certain amount of time. It was also suggested to look at the bell icon when creating an alert as a list of values with descriptions should be available.

Retaining Historical Data of ControlUp Scouts from Deleted Hives
The discussion centered around the possibility of retaining the scout's historical data when a hive has to be deleted. Currently, a user can change the scout to a new hive but the data associated with the previous hive can't be retrieved. The user suggested having the option to group multiple EUC scouts into one widget and retain their results, to help monitor a large Citrix silo effectively. The speaker clarified that the feature being discussed is about running the same scout from multiple hives, rather than grouping tests for multiple targets into a single scout.

How to use Scoutsbees Shell Extensions to launch applications
The user asked if they can run an application as part of a Scout with Scoutsbees shell extensions. It is possible to run anything on the Custom Hive or Powershell.exe as System. Login Enterprise combined with Azure was suggested for migration testing or a new application, but Shell execution would have to run in the Custom Hive and System context. The user wanted to avoid going through separate teams and departments to use the logon script in Scoutbees.
