A user asked a question about devices appearing as duplicates in ControlUp when reinstalling the agent. A member suggested using the registerwithdevicename option to replace the previous device. Question
If my windows SN is 12356 and the host name is win123456 and I rebuild my device and install the agent again then it enrolls as a a new device
If I search for my Sn then I see two devices
One will show online and the other one offline for # number of days
Should it not replace the other device ?
only when you use the registerwithdevicename option otherwise it will get a new uid
