A member asked for help with using a template, specifically using synthetic alerts and API-initiated flows which pass on parameters. They were referred to a video for more details, but when implementing the steps, it wasn’t working. After troubleshooting, they realized they were using the wrong API Key. The video was very helpful, and I followed it step by step, but for some reason it’s not working.
When I click "Run Now," a message is sent to Google Chat, but the variables are blank.
On the alerting side, email works as expected, so I know the trigger is firing.
I’m not sure where the breakdown is. I can’t tell if the API isn’t receiving or sending the data to the HTTP POST, or if the HTTP POST itself isn’t working. I’ve attached a few screenshots in case they help.



Figured it out! I was using wrong API Key.
