The discussion was about the new feature ControlUp for Apps. Due to a technical issue, users cannot trial the feature directly from the product. They can either wait or contact their account team to manually start the trial. To purchase this feature, customers must have either a Platform license or purchase the add-on option, with the license count matching their current licenses. The commenter also mentioned that ControlUp One may not be suitable and can do an internal follow-up for the user. The Platform license may be beneficial for customers depending on their needs.

Hey all, quick update on ControlUp for Apps: we are aware that some of you get this screen when you click on the new ControlUp for Apps icon.
We want for all of you to be able to trial this new addition to the platform, and the plan was to have the ability to start at trial directly from the product, which is currently not working.
For those that want to try out ControlUp for Apps there are 2 options:
• Wait. We are working on our end to still have the ability to self-start a trial when you are ready
• Talk to your account team. We are able to manually on our end start the trial, so if you are eager to get things going talk to your account team (or DM me and I can see what we can do)
To confirm you need a ControlUp one licence for this ?
I was told that unless I had exactly the same amount of vdi and desktop licenses then ControlUp one would be no good for me.
Could this be confirmed? I had this from my account team so I’d like a second opinion
There’s 2 ways to purchase ControlUp for Apps (this is separate from the ability to trial it):
• If you are a customer on the Platform license it’s included in your entitlement already
• Purchase the add-on: this is only available for ControlUp for Desktops Advanced (previously ControlUp for Physical Endpoints or Edge DX) customers and the license count needs to match your current license count, e.g. if you have 500 advanced licenses, you will need 500 ControlUp for Apps licenses
Regarding your question that "ControlUp one would be no good for me" – I can’t discuss commercials with you, but if you ping me who your account team is, I can do an internal follow up for you
At some point the Platform license starts to make sense, but every customer is different
