This week’s Did You Know is sponsored by Eugenia Schipelliti. It is now possible to monitor Network Drives in Solve – the user can view network drives associated with managed machines in the Topology view. However, an alert was asked about on a Citrix server with several users who map drives to the same location – the solution is to monitor on a specific device rather than trigger an alert for every person. Additionally, when the user is ready to create the trigger, assistance is available if needed. Learn more here.

Did you know you can now monitor Network Drives in Solve – You can now view the network drives of managed machines if you drill down to specific sessions in the Topology view. Learn more here.

For reasons beyond my control, we haven’t upgraded to 8.8 MR yet, so can’t really test the feature, but I’m interested in it.
I have a question about the triggers though on a Citrix server where there are several users that all map drives to the same location like \server\share\public –> P:\ and we wanted to alert on %free space. Would it alert for every user on the server with the P:\ drive mapped?
@member Sorry for my late response, it would notify for every person, the solution would be to monitor on a specific device so it doesn’t trigger every and only on the selected machines or users that you would like to track.
When we get approval to update (long story), I will do some more testing. I think I understand what you mean though.
Feel free to come back here once you are ready to create the trigger, I can show you some ideas if you want any help 🙂
