Leveraging ControlUp Triggers to Restart Services After VM Boot Up
A user asked about using ControlUp Triggers to restart a service after a VM boot up. Options discussed include Uptime in Minutes and Status column triggers, but it may be best to use a Scheduled Task in the VM. Advice was given to be careful with the equals operator, as it is risky for numeric values like uptime. A further suggestion was to use BIS-F with a custom script looping until the service is started.

Does Director Trigger Pack Capture Unregistered Instances?
A user asked if the Director Trigger pack can capture an unregistered instance of the server. It can, but the trigger must use "Minimum duration in this state" instead of Uptime. The user set Minimum duration to 10 minutes and removed Uptime.

Where to Place the ControlUp Agent in Citrix App Layering
A user asked what the preferred place is to put the ControlUp agent in Citrix App Layering. It can be put in the base layer (the OS layer) or the Platform Layer. It can be put in an App Layer as well, but there have been customers with issues, so it's best to try it and check to see if it works and if all metrics are working. A user replied that they have the ControlUp agent in an App Layer with no issues.

How to View Historical Alerts for a Server in ControlUp Solve
A user asked about how to view server alerts in a historical view, such as disk space. It was recommended to view the last 14 days on the incidents tab in the real time console, and use historical reports in Solve (machine statistics) to get a better picture.

Setting Up EUC Scout with Duo MFA for Horizon View in ControlUp
A user asked if anyone had set up an EUC scout to log in to Horizon view with Duo MFA. Control Up support have an open case on this, and @member has more information. ICMP is sometimes dropped/blocked by routers/firewalls so TCP is a better approach so real latency and QoS (high priority) traffic values can be measured. The port also needs to be listening.

Getting Started with Securely Exporting ControlUp Metrics
A user asked if a ControlUp Solve dashboard can be published externally without authentication; it's not possible for security reasons. Alternatives include exporting metrics with PowerShell and HTML and using the Power Platform, or leveraging ControlUp DEX with its username/password authentication.
