Adding Entra ID Joined Machines to Control Up
It is possible to add Entra ID Joined machines to Control Up with a DNS record or via the Cloud Connection Sync Script, which adds all machines in an Azure subscription. The Universal Sync Script can also be used to synchronize EUC environments. Instructions for both can be found at https://support.controlup.com/.

Discrepancies between ControlUp Consoles and Universal Sync Script Setup
A user asked about discrepancies between two ControlUp consoles, with some machines showing ‘Install Agent’ in the host column of the machine details. The user was advised to set up the Universal Sync Script (https://support.controlup.com/docs/euc-synchronization-with-universal-sync-script) from GitHub, and asked about their CSM - their account manager who can assist with setup - if needed. Limiting Access to ControlUp Agentless VMs
A user inquired about limiting access to ControlUp agentless VMs when giving the service account visibility of storage in VMware - this would bring in 191 agentless VMs and exceed their licensing capabilities. It was clarified that the only way to limit the service account is to do it at the cluster level, granting them the "NO ACCESS" role on the clusters not to be managed. The user was advised to reach out to their ControlUp sales team for further assistance on this matter.

Filtering and Reporting on Users Per Host in ControlUp
The user needed to filter and pull a report on users per host, and wanted the hostname included in the sessions view. They have data in the machines view but want the ability to filter by hypervisor hosts. In the future, they would like an option to navigate to focus on a specific cluster, change to sessions view, and filter by hypervisor hosts. For reporting, they would like to export reports of users on a specific host.

Limiting the Number of Connections in ControlUp Real Time Console
A new user asked if there was a way to limit the number of connections in the ControlUp Real Time Console that a given user can have to the client machines. The suggestion was to use the Solve console, which the user said might not offer the same 'Incidents view'. However, the Audit Log from the Solve console can show all the triggers that were fired and actions ran, as well as limit the 'Connect to Windows Machine' permission. It was suggested to explain the resource constraints to the help desk team and rely on their own principles of self-control. There is no way to detect if too many connections are open, and the Security Policy is all or nothing.

Investigating “Failed” EUC Scouts in ControlUp
For some EUC Scouts, 'Couldn't get SessionReady from the session' is marked as 'failed' despite the screenshots appearing successful. The duration of the logon might be too short, so increasing it and using baseline images may help resolve the issue. In one instance, the issue was caused by Scoutbees reconnecting to a disconnected session, leading to 12 hour-long failed Scouting, even though the connection was successful.

Troubleshooting AVD Deployment Issues with ControlUp Console
A user asked for suggestions about an AVD deployment issue, where the agent is failing to deploy from the Console on some machines. Solutions such as ensuring Administrative Shares are enabled, and that the account running the ControlUp Console.exe has Administrator permissions on the remote machine were suggested.
