Help with hung User Sessions in EUC Platforms on ControlUp Real-Time DX
This EUC discussion explored solutions to an issue where user's sessions are hung and don't want to reconnect. ControlUp's Invoke-cuquery can be used to figure out where a user has sessions, and a registry key value can be used to log them off - though this process must be done remotely. Alternately, there may be solutions available through the EUC platform. When sessions don't disconnect, this is usually due to antivirus, onedrive, or any systray tool - the best solution is to add these to the LogoffCheckSysModules registry value.

Making Machine Names Clickable in Custom Reports in ControlUp Real-Tine DX
A custom report was requested to make the machine names clickable, where the Device IDs can be pulled up and added into the URL. Product Owner @member was challenged with getting the Device IDs via a script and adding it to the report. Error: “No DNS entries exist for host” on ControlUp Console
A DNS error was reported on the Console and NSLookup was failing but the Agent status in the Monitor was fine. It was suggested to check the Data Sources tab in the Monitor to see when it first connected to the device, to see if there was an earlier time when there was a DNS entry. The issue was resolved later.

Troubleshooting Horizon Maintenance Mode Status Display in Real-Time DX
The user asked if the Real-Time DX should show machines with their Horizon Maintenance Mode Status for easy filtering, but the column didn't reflect a state change as expected. The RT console must be connected to the Horizon Connection Brokers API in order to display this information - this was confirmed by two other users, who had both made the same mistake previously. How to monitor a running service using ControlUp?
ControlUp 8.8 will feature a service monitoring capability, as well as increased visibility and monitor health. Currently, services can be monitored using the real-time console, or by running a scheduled script. Previous versions have had issues with alerting, however in 8.7.0.655 stability has been greatly improved and weekly reboots have aided in this.

Do I Need To Include All Options when creating a Trigger in ControlUp?
A user asked if they need to specify all options in a given trigger to be notified when the percentage of available machines goes below 49%. They do not need to include the session support, enabled, and maintenance mode metrics in the "To this state" field, as the trigger will look at metrics when the percentage falls below 49%. For a similar trigger, collection can help for the last 3 AND statements, and maintenance mode should be avoided as it gives a false level of availability.

How to add new users to ControlUp Real Time DX?
A user asked a question about adding users to a ControlUp setup, with the question of whether it needs to be done via the Login Setup screen in version 8.7 or if it can be done through adding people to an AD group. In order to do this, users need to be added manually. However, ControlUp is working on enhancing its Solve/SAML integration, which will enable new users to be auto created as needed. This would be done with the new DEX platform/login when configured to use SAML. ControlUp will keep @member updated on its progress with the DEX platform.

Can ControlUp Remote DX be Installed on Dell Devices?
A user asked if the ControlUp Remote DX can be installed on Dell Thin Clients and Dell Wyse 5470 laptops - @member and @member confirmed that this was not on the supported list but that the integrated OS from https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-il/product-support/product/wyse-3040-thin-client/drivers# can be installed, with the RemoteDX, but not EdgeDX. @member helped clarify this, for which they were thanked with a beer.
