Does the ControlUp Remote DX Agent require admin permissions for installation?

It was asked whether admin permissions are required to install the ControlUp Remote DX Agent – Admin permissions are indeed required as the agent needs to add files to the Windows Program Files, add registry keys, etc. Documentation should be updated to reflect this.

i thought that the remote dx agent does not need admin permissions for installation. Is that wrong?

I just reviewed https://support.controlup.com/docs/windows-remote-dx-installation and I don’t see any mention of admin permissions (if they are required or not)

I also thought that it didn’t require admin permission. Shay will have to confirm.

Admin permission is required as we are adding files to the Windows Program Files, add registry key, etc.
