How often is the “Client CPU” metric is gathered in ControlUp Realtime DX?

Posted on July 21, 2023

Someone asked about the frequency of the "client CPU" metric and whether it is an average. It is updating at 3 seconds, and there could be a bigger interval for seeing it in solve (up to 10 seconds). However, users may be seeing different values in their local task manager, and @member or @member could provide more details on this. It is possible that the stress levels in the configuration are set to average so the values change less often.

Read the entire ‘Investigating the Frequency of the "Client CPU" Metric’ thread below:

Does anyone know how often the “client CPU” metric is gathered? Also I am assuming it is an average.

I believe it’s 3 seconds just like our session metrics

And since it’s real time it’s not an average

It used to be 3 seconds for sure. There could be a bigger interval for seeing it in solve. But even in solve it should be under 10 seconds

5 for solve i think

interesting, doesnt seem to move for me in either and is different from what I see in task manager locally

I assume we call the same windows metric as where task manager calls it from. Let me check who to tag for this

@member or @member might be able to provide more details

what value are u looking at as some of the stress level config can be set to average and not now so the vbalues chamge less oftern

but it realtime for instance it is at 5% in controlup for extended period may go down or up 1%. But in task manager I see between 6%-15% most of the time, with 15% being the most frequent.

change that value

shoulds be am option for now
