How to Create Custom Dashboards in ControlUp Edge DX?

Users asked about creating custom dashboards in Edge. Currently it only supports custom reporting inside the interface, but using a 3rd party tool is an option. Video demonstration of using the Edge API and import of data exports (csv) into a 3rd party tool were shared by @member. Professional services from ControlUp may help with building custom dashboards, although it is unlikely to be available before 2024.

Currently Edge only supports custom reporting inside the interface. I think custom dashboards is on our roadmap for 2024, but @member can confirm.

If you want to have custom dashboards for Edge, the only way today is to use a 3rd party tool. Here’s a recent video I did for Power BI https://vimeo.com/843341854?share=copy

But there are other platforms of course. Depending on what they support you can either use the Edge API (like I do in the video above) or you can use data exports (csv) from Edge and import them into a 3rd party tool.

You can create custom views of the Devices Dashboard, but fully custom dashboards are on our list, but unlikely before 2024 given the other high priority items.
