We all appreciate the Analyze logon duration script, but is there an equivalent for logout duration?
Thanks in advance, cheers
that’s hard as plenty of systems purge/refresh the system after logout + it doesn’t really affect user experience as tjey don’t need to wait for it
You mean you actually have users that actually log out properly and don’t just hit the big red X to disconnect?
yes some customers do have those users
@member haha we do !
@member I understand it’s hard, but I am unable to find what have changed since last week, our sign-out times for W10 VDIs are taking 10+ minutes…
This is not a problem for normal users since they usually do not login immediately after logout, but it’s a pain for us admins, and this shows that something is going on that we don’t understand so far that a script could help us find…
I am currently running UpmConfigCheck and trying to see if this could help in my case.
Are you concerned about the time to write the profile back to the profile store?
This is a (rather old) blog on the subject: https://www.citrix.com/blogs/2012/11/30/to-cache-or-not-to-cache-that-is-the-question/
@member yes I am concerned as it takes >5mn for every profile.
what does UpmConfigCheck say?
can u run process explorer to see were it is getting stuck (i assume u can replicate)
are there lots of small files in the users profile (how many files). Dose the logo take equally logon?
you could also use citrix fast logoff https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/workspace-environment-management/current-release/user-interface-description/system-optimization/fast-logoff.html
but that might just hide an issue and not fix
