A user asked how to view and acknowledge alerts in Solve/Dex, and if not possible, if it is included in any plan. It is only possible in the real-time console, and not in Solve/Dex. The closest option to this is Enrich for AVD/ServiceNow and Edge, which can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/en/url-access-directly-into-controlup-monitored-resources?highlight=URL%20Access%20Directly.

Troubleshooting Event Log Trigger Alerts for Applications and Services Logs
A user asked if anyone had any experience getting custom Event Viewer trigger alerts to work for applications and service logs, and whether they were able to get the process working correctly. It was suggested to ensure that the console was correctly collecting events before setting up triggers, and that the events were accessible in Powershell. The user was then referred to a ControlUp article (Real-Time Console - Events Pane [https://helpcenter.controlup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015114517-Real-Time-Console-Events-Pane]) before it was suggested they use the "scheduled task trick" to create an event in the application.

Renaming FSLogix Profiles with ControlUp Scripts
A user asked for a script that logs off a user and renames their FSLogix profile on the share. ControlUp suggested two ways to accomplish the task depending on group policy settings. If FSLogix is set for "Access network as computer," a script action executed in the machine context would work. If not, the ControlUp console user's permission needs to be granted on the profile share. A script would need parameters for the Session Id, FSLogix Profile Container Path, and User. The old profile will be renamed while the new one is created for the helpdesk to give users.

A user asked about setting an alert for MS Teams crashes. They tried various settings and changed the operators to “contains.” Another user suggested that the number of hits and platform should be set to 600, 1, 3600 and “all platforms” respectively. After that, the user was able to set the alert. However, the user suggested analyzing data first to avoid false positives. Limiting the Number of Connections in ControlUp Real Time Console
A new user asked if there was a way to limit the number of connections in the ControlUp Real Time Console that a given user can have to the client machines. The suggestion was to use the Solve console, which the user said might not offer the same 'Incidents view'. However, the Audit Log from the Solve console can show all the triggers that were fired and actions ran, as well as limit the 'Connect to Windows Machine' permission. It was suggested to explain the resource constraints to the help desk team and rely on their own principles of self-control. There is no way to detect if too many connections are open, and the Security Policy is all or nothing.
