This discussion was about creating a script to show who changed maintenance mode on Citrix machines and when, as well as potential logs for restarts, forced logoffs and MCS updates. The ControlUp Script Library already includes a script that shows log information, but users suggested modifications to provide more detailed information such as for maintenance mode changes. The discussion was in favour of this idea as it would allow for quicker learning of the why behind accidental maintenance mode changes. The Script Library URL is https://www.controlup.com/script-library-posts/show-citrix-director-actions/.

How to Deploy ControlUp Remote DX on IGEL Devices
A user asked about the best or newest way to deploy/update ControlUp Remote DX on IGEL. The Igel firmware release 11.08.230 includes ControlUp Agent 8.1.5.500 and the user asked how to activate this feature. The user was given advice to move away from Real-Time but add them to Edge DX. As of 11.04 and earlier, the user was advised to use a custom partition. There is a bug that prevents the user from connecting after June last year, though. The user can download the ControlUp Remote DX Agent install script for IGEL devices using OS v11.05.152 and test it on OS v11.07.198.

Help With Logging off Issues in Citrix VDA Environments using ControlUp
A user encountered a 'logging off' status in a Citrix VDA environment. After selecting 'log off' option, the process takes longer than usual and, if the user tries to reconnect the next day, they get a message. ControlUp can help with this situation, either setting an automated action to reboot the system for single sessions, or putting the machine into maintenance mode for multi-session hosts to prevent new connections. In case of one user assigned to the system, killing the processes one by one can help. Further information can be found on Citrix's support article: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX891671/graceful-logoff-from-a-published-application-renders-the-session-in-active-state.

Targeting Machines for Surveys in ControlUp Edge DX
A user asked if it is possible to target certain machines for surveys in ControlUp Edge DX, with the current options being AD groups or individual machines. It was mentioned that machine group selection may need to be requested as an enhancement. Linux agents do not currently support user sentiment. The survey is sent to users, and Edge is not installed on Citrix desktops.

Ideas for Reports Showing ControlUp Success in the Environment
The user was looking for a report which would show what ControlUp had been doing in their environment and to spot trends week-over-week. It was suggested that the Incidents Pane in the Realtime Console and the Environment Assessment report in Insights be used to look at performance-related data. Reports in Solve, documenting and highlighting successes for ControlUp, and automations enabled in the Automation Module were all suggested as well. Additionally, there is a new in-product report which will present data out of the box.

How does ControlUp report failed logins in the logon duration report?
ControlUp users were discussing how to determine failed logins for the Logon Duration Report, and the root cause of the issue: the Antivirus product scanning thousands of files stored in the Roaming profile. The current FSLogix release was mentioned to be 'trash', while UPM has been known to work better with one issue. Citrix has been asked to incorporate a work-around in a future UPM release to solve the issue.

Investigating Unexpected Alert Triggers in ControlUp
A problem occurred when seemingly unrelated events caused the trigger monitoring the lab's pools to be reset and send off alerts. It seems to have been caused by a logged-out and then logged-back-in monitor service account. It is being investigated if something else forced the logout or if it is expected behaviour. To stop alerts from firing when the account signs back in, it is suggested to uncheck the "Include folders that were just discovered" checkbox. As the monitors use an in-ram database, if restarted the previous states are not remembered.

HTTP Scout Fails With Status Code 200 OK
HTTP Scout check failed with a status code of 200 OK and a pattern of "{“status”:“ok”}". The scout had been functioning correctly for several weeks and tests on other custom, public, and servers are working, but the scout does not. When testing in a browser, the user gets the result of "{“status”:“ok”}" which clears when removed and then recreated. A fix is in process and Ehud has offered to provide logs if needed.

How to view what users are logged into ControlUp Solve?
The user asked about the ability to see which users are logged into Solve. A Friday Feature Request was suggested to accomplish this, and the Audit Log was suggested as an alternative. Additionally, the Edge User Productivity Report can be used to check, and Solve does not require users to be logged out in order for upgrades to be completed. The Audit Log will give insight to past usage of Solve.
