Monitors are occasionally duplicating in Solve under the Machines node. A known bug in 9.0.0, this issue was improved in 9.0.5 but may not be fixed completely until 9.1. @member is currently working on resolving known bugs for this feature and is willing to troubleshoot the issue together. It’s recommended to upgrade to the latest 9.0.5 build to potentially resolve some of the issues. The duplicating monitors may be more than just a visual quirk, but it’s assigned to a specific role and doesn’t affect other functionality.

In Solve, under the Machines (Monitors) node, my monitors are occasionally duplicating. I’m noticing the duplicated monitors are missing FQDN data, and the Last Succeeded Streaming Upload (UTC)/Last Seen by Monitor times on all from 11/3 at 5:55AM or 11/3 at 6:00. I’ve seen this before and just restarting the cluster clears it up. I’m not aware of anything in our environment that might have changed for those 3 specific monitors at those specific times. Is this a known thing?
I believe this is a known issue in 9.0.x, that was improved in 9.0.5 but not sure its fully fixed (full fix in 9.1?)
@member can you please comment on this one?
I can confirm this is a known bug in 9.0.0 but neither do I know the exact state for 9.0.5 or 9.1
This feature is still a work in progress. We are going to change the architecture in the coming weeks (to move more of the logic to the backend).
@member We currently have a developer focused on resolving known bugs for this feature. If you are open to it, we can troubleshoot this together – happy to assist on a Zoom/Teams call
@member I noticed that your organization is using an older 9.0 build (9.0.0.1616). It would be great to upgrade to the latest 9.0.5 build. As @member mentioned, we made several improvements in this version, so some of your issues might already be resolved.
Yep! It took a while, but I actually have my 9.0.5 upgrade change window approved for tonight! I’ll keep an eye out for this again and if it continues @member, did you want me to get a case in so you can poke at it with me? I don’t need to clog up ur support teams with a case if it’s a known bug.
Only question I have is do you think this is just a visual quirk in Solve? If it’s visual only I could just let them chill there.
it’s a more than visual quirk but the quirk itself is that a specific role is assigned to more than one monitor per site. This role is only for this monitoring so doesn’t hurt any other functionality
