Troubleshooting: Error when adding CVAD EUC environment to ControlUp Console.

Posted on March 31, 2025

A user was experiencing an error when trying to add a CVAD EUC environment in the ControlUp console. Despite trying different connection methods and troubleshooting, the issue was not resolved. After updating to ControlUp Console 9.1.0.654, the problem was resolved. It was suggested to check for specific console builds or update to version 9.1 as a solution. The user updates to the newest version and the issue is fixed.

Read the entire ‘Troubleshooting: Error when adding CVAD EUC environment to ControlUp Console.’ thread below:

Unfortunately, I’m unable to add a CVAD EUC environment in the console. The environment was already integrated once, but no connection was established. Citrix PS Snaps are, of course, installed. Can anyone help me with this error?

does using IP address work?

no, neither IP, hostname nor FQDN

looks like your monitor is offline? Can you test its connection on that page?

All monitors are online and show the same error

and on fqdn and not just machine name?

The message always appears, regardless of whether I specify the IP, hostname, or FQDN.

I’ve also run the console directly on the monitor servers… unfortunately the same error.

tried 443 instead of 80 as port and vice versa? If that doesn’t help please open a support ticket.

the DDCs do not listen on port 443.

Are you using the correct SVC account? Does the SVC account has read only permissions in Citrix? From your screen shot it shows VM-ware login but your trying to connect to a Citrix Broker.

than it would be a different error, it can’t even connect to the broker to try and authenticate

Yes, the service account has full read access.

And it can also authenticate in Citrix WebStudio.

Are the prerequisites in place? The Powershell SDK?

Yes the PowerShell SDKs (snap-ins) are installed.

On the machine that is running the console?

yes and on all monitor server

You’ll need logs.

> To generate Console logs in a Debug level:

> 1. Download the logging tool from here.

> 2. Save it in the location where ControlUpConsole.exe resides (on the Console machine)

> 3. Two log files will be automatically created in the exact location of "ControlUpConsole.exe."

Either DM me the logs or send them to support@controlup.com. Do make sure you describe the issue so support doesn’t just get random logs 😄

Once the logs are generated, make sure you delete the controlupconsole.exe.log4net file so logging stops. As it does slow down the console significantly

Generally speaking, "there was an error accessing the service at the supplied address" happens when the expected service isn’t running at that endpoint.

I dont see that a Data Collector was specified, did you try that? (replace COntrolUp COnsole/Monitor with a specific machine that has the cuAgent and the PwoerShell SDKs)

Hello Marcel, unfortunately the same error 🙁

Hi everyone, the problem has disappeared since updating to ControlUp Console 9.1.0.654. After the update, I was able to add the EUC environment without any problems. Thanks for your support!

what cvad version are you on and which console build did you have before?

CVAD 2411 Conosle: 9.0.xxx

gotcha, there was an issue with 2411 that was only fixed with specific 9.0.5 builds or in 9.1
