The new feature for Live Remote Management, File Browser, is discussed in a Slack post. It is helping the user to collect logs and pass files between systems. However, the default deployment settings only allow restricted permissions for Admin accounts. To fully utilize the feature, a custom role with necessary permissions must be created. A link to a blog post discussing the future of DEX management and asking for feedback on the new addition is also shared.

🤯 Live Remote Management 🤯
I want to do a post earlier to discuss the new Remote Management – File Browser – https://support.controlup.com/docs/file-browser and a key point of configuration but @member got in a head of me and asked the question 😠
The File browser at the moment is my favorite of all these new features and it is helping me best in my current task ⏩ make things faster and smother to collect logs and pass files between systems but one key part to the default deployment is that the Admin accounts are given restricted permissions
“`Permissions must be added to a custom role
To protect sensitive information, permissions to make changes to the file system or to open a file to see it’s contents are not included in any default role (including the Admin role). Those permissions must be manually added to a custom role. The default Admin role only allows a user to view the folder structure of the file system.“`
You must create a new Role in DEX with the required permission’s with out doing this you are missing on the core functionality and power of tis feature.
