“`Do anyone have automation in place for Updating the dock firmware of hardware issues resulting in no need for replacement. Issues can range from peripheral hardware not working (mice, keyboards, monitors, headsets, etc) to the laptop not charging.
Here is the process below:
Update Docking Station Firmware
Open Software Center from your laptop.
Click on the Applications tab.
Click on one of the following, depending on the dock. Please ensure you select the correct version.
FIRMWARE-HP G5 DOCK 1.0 (1.4)
FIRMWARE-HP G5 ESSENTIAL DOCK 1.0 (1.4)
For simplicity, user can install both G5 firmware issuances.
For exact, dock model is on label on the bottom of dock.
FIRMWARE-DELL WDXX Dock 1.0 (1.2) Mainly Claims Users
For Dell WD19TB Thunderbolt docks.
Click Install.
Once that installs, hold down the power button on the laptop for 30 seconds.
Once the laptop is off, unplug the dock from your laptop and the power strip.
Wait 30 more seconds.
Power the laptop back on.
Plug the dock into the power strip and laptop.
Power on the docking station.“`

If you want to do it via a CU action you host the MSI or EXE in a cloud bucket and then have a script that downloads the MSI from the set bucket and then install it
