Can the ControlUp Monitor Upload Time Be Adjusted?

Posted on July 4, 2023

The user asked if it was possible to adjust the monitor upload time, which was answered as being hard coded to 30 minutes with a delay of up to two hours. On-Premise versions are written to disk every 10 minutes while the cloud version is every 30 minutes. No possibility was available to adjust the interval.

Read the entire ‘Can Monitor Upload Time Be Adjusted?’ thread below:

Hi all, is there a possibility to adjust the monitor upload time ? Registry? I have a customer where the upload time seems to be 30 min and they want 10 min.

no this is hard coded to every 30 minutes at this moment, also there will be a delay after that so it’s only visible after ±2 hrs (sla is 3) but soon we will replace this with the streaming project where it is near instant (for cloud customers this is all)

i thought the upload time was 10 min . Did that change?

Nope it has been 30 minutes for as long as I can remember.

is it 10 min in the OnPrem version?

not sure about the rate there, might be even faster since it’s the Splunk forwarder doing the work.

If I remember correctly I was told as soon as the activity files are written the splunk forwarder sends the data to IOP.

So every 10 mins if I am not mistaken.

But @member can tell for sure…

its ok for me now. If there is no possibility to change the intervall I gotta take what I can get. Thanks for your replies 🙂

AFAIK onprem is 10min (writing the files to disk) where the cloud is 30min.
