Finding Versions of an Application to Identify Machines Without it Installed

Posted on December 21, 2023

A user asked if there was a way to generate a CSV export with all versions of an application to identify machines that do not have it installed. It was suggested to use the export option in the ribbon, check the processes list in the controllers and custom filter in the solve details. It was confirmed that custom filter in the solve details would let the user filter each time, which was concluded to be ok.

Read the entire ‘Finding Versions of an Application to Identify Machines Without it Installed.’ thread below:

has anyone written a script to get a csv export of all versions of an application ie: fslogix version to see if there are incorrect versions installed? There are ways to do this with the app statistics report but im not finding a way to get machines that DO NOT have something installed

If you just need a one time list of machines and version, just focus on what you’d like the report on and use the Export button in the ribbon.

Ill do that thanks!

what about other versions of software? can the realtime console get those?

I guess probably in the processes list

Using the controllers, yes

ah ok

ok awesome. Ill take a look. thanks!

Also in the controllers you can export as well.

Export is also in solve.

theres probably no way to build a solve dashboard for this right?

I might be able to make a custom filter in solve details, maybe

That you can certainly do. Just create a new column preset.

yeah I think this works

I assume you cant add a custom filter to the preset right?

you would have to filter each time

thats probably ok
