A user discussed needing an improved authentication method for the Real Time DX Console, with the preference for Azure OAuth or SAML. This will be included in the 9.1 release, and @member will keep the audience updated when the design is finalized. On-premises users were also mentioned.

I’d also like to ask if there is any discussion around modernizing the authentication methods in the RT DX console? The email MFA method is unreliable and often delays my ability to access my platform for minutes or even hours. I need an instant way of logging in. Can’t we get Azure OAuth or SAML with the thick app, like you have in the webapp? Even a user configurable MFA policy would help. We use DUO and we have several apps with their own phone registrations that work outside of our enterprise Apps authentication yet still gives us some flexibility.
Yes, I believe the first phase is planned for our upcoming 9.0 release, but tagging @member to confirm
Hi @member – modernizing the authentication flows for the Real-Time (=Configuration) Console will be done in 9.1
We are currently in the design phase, but I will keep the audience updated once we have finalized the design
Thank you. can’t wait!
Great news. Don’t forget the On-Prem folks 😜
